What is Gift Aid?
Gift Aid increases the value of donations to the Cathedral by allowing us to reclaim basic rate tax on your gift. By completing a Gift aid declaration form we can claim tax on the gift at the rate of 25p in every £1.00 from the Inland Revenue via the Gift Aid Scheme. The Government will pay us an additional 3p in every £1.00 you give between 6 April 2008 and 5 April 2011. This does not affect your tax position.
