The Community Committee was formed in 2002 as part of the new Cathedral Constitution. It is made up individuals elected from the Cathedral Community, as well as the Canon Chancellor and Cathedral Wardens.
The work of the committee is very varied and encompasses all aspects of Cathedral life. In October 2005, it adopted a new way of working in subgroups with particular interests.
Working in smaller groups and reporting back to the full committee means that not only can more be done, but the meetings don’t take quite so long!
The diagram below shows the structure of the committee:

The central circle represents the Community Committee Hub – this group oversees the work of all the subgroups, offering support and a major line of communication between the groups and with other parts of the Cathedral Community. This group consists of the chair of the Community Committee, the Canon Chancellor and two further elected members.
Currently, the committee is jointly chaired by Ann Reddecliffe and Dr. Bev Farrand
