connect - an informal discussion group
run by young people

gives us space to

connect

with each other

connect

with ourselves

connect

with God

the format is really simple

first we have a
bite to eat
something simple like pizza or pasta

while we eat, one of us will

introduce a theme

it could be about anything – relationships, family, study, sex, surviving church, drugs,
even the
G – word

then we spend
time
talking together

it’s not a free for all

we have
ground rules
like showing respect (especially to those we disagree with)
listening
and keeping confidence

after that we take a bit of time to

pray
together

sometimes to wrestle with God

sometimes to find
peace

but always to
connect

when

normally on the
second and fourth friday of the month
(see programme below)

start
  5.45pm for 6pm

finish 7.30pm
(or earlier if you have a
friday night to get on with)

 where

the conference room at Leicester Cathedral Centre

21 St Martins (use the side entrance in the car park)
