The Community Committee was formed in 2002 as part of the new Cathedral Constitution.  It is made up of people elected from the Cathedral Community, along with the Canon Pastor and Cathedral Wardens. 

The work of the committee is very varied and encompasses all aspects of Cathedral life.  It has grown so much that, in October 2005, we adopted a new way of working in subgroups with particular interests.  We are finding that working in smaller groups and reporting back to the full committee means that not only can we do more, but the meetings don’t take quite so long!

The diagram to the right shows the new structure of our committee:

The central circle represents the Community Committee Hub – this group oversees the work of all the subgroups, offering support and a major line of communication between the groups and with other parts of the Cathedral Community.  This group consists of Dr. Ed Bampton (Chair of the Committee), Canon Michael Wilson (Canon Pastor) and two further elected members.
