On 21st February 1927, the Collegiate Church of St. Martin became The Cathedral Church of the newly re-formed Diocese of Leicester. 

2007 Is the Celebration of 80 years of Leicester Cathedral and a number of special events are planned.

Thursday 1st March - Beginning of a series of Lent Lectures by the Bishop of Leicester, The Right Reverend Tim Stevens.  Every Thursday from 6.30pm to 7.30pm, concluding on 29th March.
